Seeds are the “chips” of agriculture. To promote the development and utilization of genetic resources, the department of agriculture and rural affairs of Hunan Province, based on the third national survey of genetic resources of crops, has selected the first batch of Hunan’s top ten excellent genetic resources of crops based on resource characteristics, utilization value, industrial contribution, and social influence.
Now, three new tea varieties have national registrations and have been promoted in such provinces and cities as Hubei, Jiangxi and Chongqing.
In addition to Baojing Golden Tea, other agricultural products like Zhangshugang Pepper, Huarong Mustard and Jiangyong Taro were also included on the list.
